Short Bio
Making all the stops, no genre of music is off limits with this locomotive. The Gravy Train is engineered by rock, funk, and blues guitars, while being conducted through Buttamilk Biscuit's syncopated rap, influenced by Beastie Boys and Public Enemy. Punk bass riffs and a longing Irish Tin Whistle complement an eclectic original repertoire that is both idiosyncratic and familiar— you will find yourself rapping along with Buttamilk, moving with the rhythm of the Train, while simultaneously wondering why it feels as if their music just sneezed on you. The Gravy Train hopes to create an experience that transports its passengers to a next stop filled with humor, joy, and the musically multifarious musings of lives well-lived.

“The Gravy Train Steps to the stage with a brand of music that can only be described as unique. Somewhat like riding the rails with Cake, Ween, and the Doors, The Gravy Train makes all stops!”
— Alan Cromwell, owner of Blue Island Beer Company (2017)
“These guys are great! Gotta love a band that can rock out with an Irish tin whistle and a Bodhran drum!”
— Dave Cooke, co-owner of Elbo Room (2020)
